Life cycle information

Once CAD/PLM system contains a relational database with tagged information for projects. This enables the identification of equipment that is unique for an installation, be it a oil and gas installation, or a process plant equipment.

Our focus on life cycle comes from the fact that equipment manufacturers design and product equipment for long operation. Therefore we handle both design and operation documents in Once CAD/PLM.

Equipment specifications. Functional specs such as drawings and technical datasheets is part of our parts register - tag register for projects. Serialized equipment may even be tracked in Once CAD/PLM. Then service log and other necessary documents from maintenance performed on the equipment may also be tracked.

First period of operation may be the warranty period. Like when you purchase a car, you want the car manufacturer to document the vehicle to get the proper service so there is no violation of the five year warranty.

Thus, our definition of life cycle information (LCI) is not only documents for operation (DFO), but for the documents for a product lifecycle from design to end-of-life of a product.
